SUSTAINABILITY

We’re leading the way

thinking greener

Fashion UK believes that the fashion industry needs to find new ways to lower its impact on the planet. We’re exploring how we can use sustainable materials in the creation of our garments; for example, organic and recycled cotton and polyester.

We’re also exploring how we can be kinder to our planet by looking at new and exciting ways we can package products, for example, by using plastic-free, recycled and/or recyclable materials.

MAKING BETTER CHOICES

ON THE ROAD TO ZERO

In a bid to challenge the climate change crisis, the UK plans to reach net-zero by the middle of the century.

By using sustainable materials like organic cotton and recycled polyester, shifting to renewable energy, investing in product and packaging development, and working with our partners to do the same, we can take steps to lower our carbon footprint.

MORE THAN JUST RE-USE

YARN & GARMENT RECYCLING

Everyone has a part to play in making the world a greener, cleaner place to live. Textile recycling is an industry in itself, and Fashion UK has decided to take our chair at the table by opening a fibre regeneration plant and diverting textile waste from landfill

Here, we collect factory waste, consolidate it, and turn it into either fibre or yarn, which we export or buyback. This recycling and tracing of pre-and post-consumer textile waste is a unique selling point we plan to roll out worldwide.
